The Bridge is excited to announce War Miner as the new Racial Justice & Equity Manager. War has been at The Bridge since 2018, starting as a Youth and Family Advocate and in 2019 was promoted to Diversity Specialist. In this capacity, in fall of 2019 War was selected to participate in the American Express Leadership Academy in New York City for emerging LGBTQ+ leaders. In each role, War has been working to transform The Bridge toward racial justice, inclusion, and equity for all.
As Racial Justice & Equity Manager, War will be a member of the management team at The Bridge and work to effectively advocate for racial justice and equity, and collaborate with program leadership and administration to pursue and achieve culture, program, and organizational goals of racial justice and equity informed by youth, staff, board, and as defined by the annual and strategic plans. War will champion racial justice and equity within The Bridge, rooted in the belief of racial justice, inclusion, and equity, with an understanding of privilege and oppression in systems, organizations, and community.
