About the Internship

The internship program at The Bridge cross trains students to work in all areas of shelter. Interns most often start in the Emergency Shelter Program assisting with intakes, assessments, case management, milieu engagement, group facilitation, leading activities, and working with youth one to one. As students gain skills and knowledge they may move into other opportunities within outreach or other site-based programs.
Supervision
At The Bridge, weekly individual and group supervision is provided. Our intern supervisor is an LICSW and can supervise social work and counseling psychology students. Staff and program supervisors also provide guidance to students in the day-to-day activities of each program.
