Imagine being kicked out because you are LGBTQ? 40% of youth experiencing homelessness identify as LGBTQ. For over 50 years, The Bridge for Youth has been a safe place for ALL youth.
The Bridge invites you to Give OUT! #GiveOUTDay is June 30, but the campaign runs throughout June and focuses on raising awareness and funds for programs specifically for the LGBTQ community. Your Give OUT Day donation to The Bridge will provide a safe place to sleep, a warm meal, gender affirming clothing, support and hope for youth in times of crisis.
A group to find community and be who you are….
LGBTQ+ youth experiencing family rejection/conflict, bullying &/or emotional distress are welcome at So What if I Am? a weekly support group for gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgender and questioning youth ages 12-21 in the Twin Cities. The group meets on Tuesdays, no referral required. Learn more: [email protected]
Meeting youth where they’re at
This summer The Bridge is expanding street and site-based outreach, with the launch of a mobile outreach. The Mobile Youth Outreach Center is a safe place for all youth, and will meet immediate basic needs, provide access to clothing – including gender affirming transitional clothing, case management and connection to resources and referrals.
Let’s Connect at TC Pride Festival
The Bridge is excited to participate in the 2021 Twin Cities Pride Festival on July 17th & 18th! Stay tuned for more info about our booth – hope to see you there!
