At The Bridge, we walk alongside youth on their journey through healing. One way we do this is through our new Crime Victims Support Group. Hear directly from group facilitator Bryson Dyce to learn more:

“Youth attending our Crime Victims Support Group find love and care at every session. Members of this group have experienced crimes like domestic assault, bullying, or sexual exploitation. In this space, youth find resources, learn tools for healing, and build resilience in a safe space.
A typical session includes check-ins/icebreakers, programming, and activities. That sometimes means connecting with other organizations, like our friends at Queerspace Collective, where we joined them for dog therapy.
Another partnership came from the YWCA who helped in leading discussions on healthy relationships, communication, consent, safe sex, STIs, and birth control.
Other recent sessions included having youth make their own essential oil heating pads, holiday art, and a New Year’s celebration complete with plenty of food and games.
As the group continues in the new year, we look forward to welcoming more community partners at our sessions. Soon, we will be partnering with the Youth Law Project to talk about things like what it’s like to go to court, self-advocacy, and emancipation.
I’ve been excited to see the way our group has already grown and look forward to more sessions with youth.”
